Chale.

DORA'S OFFICIAL VEGAS REVIEW
Fun! Funfunfunfun!
Friday. My trip from Morelia to Vegas was pretty much uneventful. It is a Very Good Thing™ to only have carry-on baggage.
When I stepped out of the plane, I was blinded by the shiny lights in the airport and had an "oooh!Shiny! What'sthat?Iwannatouchit!" attack, which ended when I realized I had no idea where I was meeting MCP. I had to walk for what seemed a long time, 'cause I didn't know where I was going, but pretty soon I saw Babs and MCP holding a laminated Brunchma sign. Yay! There were hugs, pictures were taken and as soon as we found Caro (non-bruncher friend) we went to the hotel.
Once there, we ran into assorted Bunchers at the buffet and around the place and I found out that I didn’t need to introduce myself, everybody seemed to magically knew who I was. Odd.
The afternoon was spent shopping, MCP, Babs, Caro and me.
Friday night was bowling. Thurdl and Slakko explained the rules and scoring system, but all the shiny lights and new faces overloaded my brain and I can't remember anything about the actual bowling. Except that Skatie can do it backwards.
Then a group of us went up to our room (Chile's and mine), ordered room service and played A2A and talked and yay. I don't remember exactly who was there, 'cause my brain pretty much shut down after the bowling. I do remember ordering french fries, though.
Saturday. We woke up early-ish, or I did, and went down for breakfast. We ran into a few brunchers there and then things get a bit blurry for me... dunno why. I remember meeting yet more brunchers and hanging around the casino, looking a people play.
I didn't feel like gambling, Caro was getting quite restless and the only set plan for the day was the Star Trek thing, which I thought was too expensive 'cause I know nothing about Star Trek. So Chile, Caro and yours truly decided to go walk around the Strip.
At that point Caro had made or received, I'm not sure, a few phonecalls and she announced that she wanted to stay at the hotel and would catch up with us later. And so MsChile and I left her and went to the Strip.
My general opinion of the Strip is that it's like a gigantic toy store that could only exist in the U.S. And I mean that in a good way.
So Chile and I walked all the way to the MGM Grand, went in, had something to drink at the Rainforest Cafe, and then took a cab back to the hotel. Yes, we were that tired.
At that point, I was beginning to worry about Caro, 'cause she never caught up with us. Back at the Goald Coast, we went up to the room to change before going to the pool. Surprise, surprise, Caro is gone. Went back to Seattle. Upset. I should've seen it coming.
Spent some time by the pool, where FireLily joined us. Went back to change and eat something before Penn & Teller. The 3 of us had Chinese food (yummy!) and after that we ran into some brunchers that were going to P&T, too. Walked over to Rio, the show was awesome, went back to hotel. Alcohol was bought, we all went up to our room and drank said alcohol while playing a game called *points emphatically* Squint. We also tried to play some sort of drug-related board game but it was too complicated or we were too drunk. Or both. I spilled some beer on my trousers so I had to change into my pj's and that seemed to scare everyone, 'cause shortly after that everybody left.
Sunday. Breakfast was pretty much uneventful. Chile was feeling sick but then got better. HJ, au contraire, seemed ok and ended up sick in his room. But I digress.
After breakfast a bunch of us went out to the Strip. Walked a little and got into the Paris (I like the real Paris better), shortly after that, Ember and Albert left *sad* and the rest of went into the Aladdin, to shop. And shop we did.
More blurriness. Sushi buffet. Babs and Roup gone *sad*. More games at the hotel, then it was time for karaoke.
I cannot even begin to describe how much fun that was! My favourite performances:
Pecos and gren / Baby got back
Sergei / Oops, I did it again
Earl Jr. / Do Re Mi
The Björk song
And I loved singing 'I feel like a woman' with Liz, even if nobody was paying attention to us. She's got such a great voice!
Everyone already said it, but still: IsMa can sing!
After karaoke, db and I decided to stay awake all night. I do not recommend this. On the bright side, I seem to now be engaged, have a pool and my very own poolboy, too. But I'm still having weird sleep patterns.
The flight back sucked. Mainly due to my own stupidity (I misread my schedule) but also due to Continental's general crappyness. I did meet a couple of cute boys on the plane, so it wasn't all that bad.
